  • Games Squad wod for the week.

    The second open wod:

    AMRAP in 15mins
    9 Deadlifts (70/45kg)
    12 Push-ups (hand release)
    15 Box jumps (24/20")

    Last week's was:

    WOD for this week is 2011 OPEN WOD 1.

    Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 10 minutes of:
    30 Double-unders
    15 Power snatches (35/25kg) - this can be Ground to overhead anyhow.

    Top score was 9rds, 30 DU 13 snatches. - Rich Froning
    Top Aussie score was 9rds 10 - Rob Downton. 
    8 rounds will put you in the top 10 for the region. 
    7rds, 12 will put you in top 60 for region.

  • WOD 2 = 8 rounds + 3 reps.

    Open WOD 4.

    Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 10 minutes of:
    60 Bar-facing burpees
    30 Overhead squats (55/40kg)
    10 Muscle-ups 
  • Josh, WOD 3: 20.5 rounds

    Rocky, WOD 3: 10 rounds
  • WOD 4 = 60 burpees + 20 OHS Rx'd.
  • WOD 4 = 60 Burpees.....(and 15 OHS at 30kg, but they don't count)

  • Games squad wod for the week:

    Open WOD 5:

    Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 20 minutes of:
    5 Power cleans (65/45kg)
    10 Toes to bar
    15 Wall balls (9/7kg) 

    Top scores were over 14 rds but a lot of the top aus guys (Hogan, Forte, Barber) were around 11-12 rds.

    Remember people who want to do the games wod can do it at the 5:30pm class as it is a rest day and bound to be quiet on Friday before Christmas.

    This is a timed workout. If you complete the round of 21, go on to 24. If you complete 24, go on to 27, etc.

  • Scott I meant to talk to you about games squad while I was there, I'd really like to compete as part of CF VIC in the open this year if you will have me, be it individual or teams. I still call it my cf home :)

  • Coby: Scaled to 6, 4, 2, 1 MU - 18:04. Didn't count my reps on finisher. Lost count on the double unders!
  • Coby: 12.39, did one bar pullup and one ring dip as the substitute.
    Finisher: wouldn't have a clue. Lost count after the first movement.

    Leading up to the games there will now be
    3-4 WODS all games squad members will need to complete within the week.  For the next 4 weeks all of these wods
    must be completed and scores posted if you want to be considered for the
    team.  If you cant do a wod you
    need to let me know directly via email scott@firebrandfitness.com.au



    I am also adding in some coached Oly
    lifting sessions at the start of the Friday night classes and after open gym on
    Saturday.

    (1 score = time)

    I would be up for this on a Sat/Sun though, but not until after a few weeks of games training sessions.
